Drug Testing FAQ

What is the difference between DOT and non-DOT testing?

DOT drug testing follows strict federal guidelines under 49 CFR Part 40 and is required for safety-sensitive roles in transportation (CDL drivers, pilots, railroad workers, etc.). Non-DOT testing follows employer-defined or industry-standard panels and is used for general workplace, pre-employment, or personal screening purposes.

How long do results take?

Rapid screens typically provide preliminary results within 5–10 minutes on-site. Lab-based testing and confirmation results are generally returned within 24–72 business hours. DOT results follow the MRO review process, which may add additional time.

Do you offer employer accounts?

Yes. We partner with businesses to provide pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug testing. Contact us to discuss setting up an employer account and testing program.
