What is Bridge Care™?

Primary Care When You Need It Most

Bridge Care™ is Hi Doc Medical Center’s self-pay primary care option designed for patients who are uninsured, waiting for insurance coverage to begin, between insurance plans, have a high-deductible health plan, or simply prefer transparent self-pay medical care.

Bridge Care may include short-term primary care, evaluation and management of common medical concerns, chronic-condition follow-up, medication management and appropriate non-controlled prescription refills, laboratory monitoring, referrals when appropriate, and coordination of care until the patient establishes or returns to their regular primary-care provider.

Bridge Care is not emergency care and is not a replacement for specialist or emergency services.

Insurance & Bridge Care™

What if I have insurance?

Patients may use Bridge Care even if they have health insurance. Hi Doc’s professional services remain self-pay; however, when laboratory testing, imaging, prescriptions or outside services are medically appropriate, patients may be able to use their insurance benefits with the outside provider, laboratory, pharmacy or imaging facility. Coverage and patient responsibility are determined by the patient’s insurance plan and the outside provider.

Our Philosophy

Healthcare Should Be Accessible

At Hi Doc Medical Center, we believe quality healthcare should be available regardless of insurance status.

Bridge Care™ was created to provide reliable, affordable primary care for patients navigating gaps in coverage, managing chronic conditions, or simply seeking a medical provider who values communication, transparency, and individualized care.

Our goal is to keep you healthy while reducing unnecessary emergency room and urgent care visits through proactive, patient-focused healthcare.

Bridge Care™ FAQs

Do you accept insurance for Bridge Care?
Hi Doc Medical Center operates Bridge Care as a self-pay service. Patients pay Hi Doc directly for medical visits and services performed by Hi Doc. When outside laboratory testing, imaging, prescriptions or specialist services are needed, insured patients may use their insurance benefits with those outside providers when accepted. Coverage is subject to the patient’s individual plan.
Is Bridge Care emergency care?
No. Bridge Care is not emergency care and is not a replacement for specialist or emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Bridge Care is intended for non-emergency primary care needs.
